Stircor adding agricultural waste and carbon credit expert to its leadership team

Nashville, Tenn. (June 3, 2024) – Stircor, a biosolid waste drying and gasification services provider for municipalities based in Nashville, has hired Lincoln Day as Chief Operating Officer. Day has a background in agricultural waste and beneficial reuse of waste products, including developing carbon credits.

“Lincoln’s expertise lies in leveraging various financial strategies, including carbon credits, to support substantial, sustainable projects,” said Stircor CEO Forrest Porterfield. “We’re confident he’ll enhance Stircor’s capabilities in waste recycling, greenhouse gas emission reductions, and carbon credit development and acquisition for us and our wastewater treatment clients.”

Day is an experienced entrepreneur, investor, and business operator who specializes in the convergence of engineering and finance within early-stage ventures. His entrepreneurial journey began in 2018 with the launch of Stalk Commodities. This enterprise commercialized engineering innovations developed at the University of Kentucky to offer technological solutions for the tobacco and cannabis sectors, specifically aimed at enhancing farmers’ productivity.

“Joining the Stircor team was a logical next step as we’ve been working together over the last year to develop sustainable engineering solutions in the equine industry”,said Day. “I look forward to the work we can do together for Stircor’s clients in other industries and ways in which we can help communities and businesses economically improve  their environment.”
